Paul ApSimon is a long time presence on the Canadian fencing scene. For years a competitive athlete, Paul has represented Canada at World and Commonwealth Championships and has numerous National and Provincial Championships to his credit. He is a certified 3M NCCP Level 3 Foil coach, and is currently both Coach at the Excalibur Fencing Club and Head Coach at the RA Fencing Club. As varsity fencing coach at the University of Ottawa, Paul coached the men's and women's teams to six consecutive provincial titles. In 1997 he was named Team Leader for the Canadian University Fencing Team at the FISU Games in Sicily, and in 2000 was appointed the Team Leader for the Canadian Olympic Team in Sydney, Australia.

Parviz Haghendish is the Assistant Coach at the RA Fencing Club and has been with the club since 2003. A former Iranian National Team fencer and National Team Foil coach, Parviz was trained within the French coaching system. Parviz is responsible for technical development and junior programs at the RA Fencing Club. All developing Ottawa Fencing competitive fencers do extensive technical work with Parviz. Since arriving at the RA, Parviz has formed several National championship medallists and Junior National Team fencers.
